House of Modern Vintage is owned and run by Mary Le Comte. Her background lies in museums and public arts. Mary worked at the V&A museum for over 12 years developing and managing art and design history courses, talks and events. Her love of object design and interiors along with the stories behind them is life long. She is passionate about the use, reuse, display and meaning of objects. For her, finding beautiful, characterful pieces with a unique patina, and then seeing them in a new setting is endlessly fascinating.

HOMV is about encouraging people to find a connection with pieces that have lived a little, and to put gorgeous older furniture and accessories together with newer contemporary pieces. Mary loves to be part of giving people more of an opportunity to reflect their own ideas, taste and designs in their interiors. By sourcing in her own particular style, with her own particular eye she aims for her brand to be friendly and responsive to the C21st century home.
