Two 1970’s side tables by Brazilian designer Percival Lafer. They have the amazing style of the Brazilian Modernists, a group of designers of which Percival Lafer was an innovative and leading light. The smoked glass tops sit on rich dark Rosewood frames which have slightly angled lozenged shaped legs referred to as ‘puffed’ - a curved soft design synonymous with Percival Lafer. These are cleverly contrasted against the raw metal fixings visible on the frame. Both tables are in good condition for their age. The frames show some signs of use but nothing too noticeable.
